The city of Ocoee announced the reopening of Starke Lake Boat Ramp.

The dock has been closed since March 23 for renovations, which now are complete.

These upgrades include durable composite decking, replacing all previous wooden boards, a slight elevation increase to help prevent flooding during heavy or prolonged rain, and sheet piling installed beneath portions of the dock to reduce erosion and protect the ramp.

"These improvements enhance the dock's durability, safety, accessibility and overall appearance creating a cleaner, brighter space for everyone to enjoy," the city posted.

Located at Municipal Lakefront Park, 150 N. Lakeshore Drive, Ocoee, residents now can take their boats in the water once again.

"Thank you for your patience during construction," Ocoee's post said. "We’re excited to welcome residents back. Enjoy the water this weekend!"
