Hope Charter School's third-grade teacher Brittnee Jones was awarded the Charter School Champion of the Year award from the Florida Consortium for Public Charter Schools.

Jones was one of seven teachers from throughout the state to receive the award for the 2025-2026 school year.

“Congratulations to Brittnee Jones and to all of the 2026 Charter School Champions of the Year, and congratulations to their schools and communities,” FCPCS President Robert Haag said.  “Each of the winners helps to deliver quality education to Florida’s charter school students.  Florida’s hugely successful charter school movement is possible because of education professionals like them.  The Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools thanks them for everything they do.”

Oakland Avenue Charter School's Nicole Puhr also received the award.

She is a math coach and intervention specialist at the school.
