Scouts from Troop 225 learned about the latest gadgets at M3D Technologies.
Scouts from Troop 225 in Windermere visited M3D Technologies, owned by Matthew Hogan, former member of the troop.
Matthew Hogan earned his Eagle Scout honor 25 years ago through Boy Scout Troop 225 in Windermere. His project was to build the welcome sign leading into the town of Windermere.
“That project was my first steps into a lifetime of service, innovation and leadership,” Hogan said.
He recently reconnected with his old troop and visited the site of his scouting project.
He also invited scouts to visit his business, M3D Technologies, where he shared how the values and skills he cultivated during scouting helped him build a fulfilling career. The scouts experienced virtual and mixed-reality technology used in industries such as military, medical, enterprise and entertainment and were introduced to potential future careers in software and game engine development.
After obtaining his Eagle rank and graduating high school, Hogan served as a United States Navy sailor aboard the USS Ronald Reagan. Following a service-related injury in 2004 and his honorable discharge in 2005, he returned to Orlando to begin a new chapter as an entrepreneur.
Through the years, he founded and operated several businesses, and today, he leads M3D Technologies, a company focused on developing immersive solutions for training, education and entertainment.
“Sharing advancements with Troop 225 felt like coming full circle, helping to ignite the same sense of wonder and possibility that scouting first instilled in me,” Hogan said.
