The town of Windermere officially kicked off the Christmas season with its Light Up Windermere event, held Friday, Nov. 22, outside of Town Hall.
The festive evening included performances by various choirs from Family Church, as well as a special preview of “The Nutcracker” from White Swan Academy. Attendees also enjoyed a variety of food options from a plethora of food trucks as they awaited the big moment — the lighting of all the downtown holiday lights.
Right at 7 p.m., Mayor Jim O’Brien flipped the switch, officially welcoming the holidays to the town. A deejay kept guests dancing, and children of all ages enjoyed frolicking in glow-in-the-dark bubbles as the part continued into the evening.
